happy day after thanksgiving!
i decided to forgo the whole making my colors look thanksgiving-ish and instead went for a spring combo of yellow and blue. my sister just said, "you're weird. you ruined everything!"
some of my kids are going nuts and have been freaking out--like temper wise and behavior wise--and it was stressing me out for the past couple weeks. thank goodness for this 2 1/2 day break!
thanksgiving was good. my parents, junior & jeannette were off in vegas, so jannelle and i went to louie's parents', while raquel stayed home and slept. i think i did pretty good, if i do say so myself. i didn't have any of the banana cream pie--instead i enjoyed some grapes, cantaloupe, pineapple, and half a bread roll for my "dessert." turkey with some gravy (yeah, yeah, yeah), sweet potatoes (no marshmallows!), and lots of veggies =). topped off with some Halo (i HATE that game, it makes me dizzy and disoriented and very frustrated) and XBOX Karaoke. i spent 26 bucks downloading 13 songs, only i didn't know the melody of a couple of them. claire downloaded 14 songs, but for some reason, it seemed like we didn't just get 27 new songs. i think it's cause we previewed all of them for like a minute and started to get tired of singing them--and the whole not knowing the melody thing happened a couple more times =P.
i am so looking forward to our high-school-friends'-after-thanksgiving-thanksgiving on sunday. haven't seen some of you in a really LONG time! i'm thinking of making some mini quiche (no crust!) or something. or maybe bringing a fruit platter or something. not sure yet. but i'll be whipping out my EBT card at safeway either later today or tomorrow.
airborne is THE greatest. it's a little pricey ($6.99 for a tube of ten tablets @ safeway), but it works really well. you just drop a tablet in a little water and drink it. you can take it every 3 hours--start at the first sign of a cold/sickness. when i first took it i took like 3 or 4 in one day, then just a couple a day after that. i feel much, much better. my mum is gonna check if they sell it at costco and she's gonna start giving it to my siblings. just thought i'd share with you who might be prone to catching colds from kids/classmates/co-workers.
okay that's all for now.

can't wait to see you tomorrow!
airborne really works?!? after seeing greg brady in the commericals i wasn't sure what to make of it. i guess when i start credentialing i can try it out myself.
My dad swears by ginger & garlic mixed with honey for colds & flu's. I'm too chicken to even try. *Gag* I think the tablets sound like an easier option.
LOL
